Case Study - Talent Pipelining CTO to Head of Technology

Research Partners was asked to conduct a search for a CTO after our client, a global eCommerce business, had reviewed over 60 CVs and conducted months of unsuccessful interviews through multiple vendors. We carried out a global search for senior technology leaders, and created a rich talent pipeline of over 400 candidates based in Asia, North and South America, Europe, Russia, Africa, and the Middle East. Although our initial objective was to fill a CTO level role, our client asked us to pipeline two levels down, in order to have a ready pipeline of talent for 3 other imminent positions. The result was a global list of CTOs, VPs, Director and Manager levels within the eCommerce and Internet segments. Although our client successfully hired their CTO from our list, they also subsequently made 3 additional hires within a 12 month period from the original search.
