INSIGHT: SENIOR MANAGEMENT

We analysed Africa’s fast-growing internet sector in order to thoroughly assess its candidate pool size and available talent for senior management level roles. We evaluated candidates in Finance, Product, Sales and Operations. Our insight highlighted candidates’ academic, regional and functional backgrounds, enabling us to spot trends in how firms recruit. For instance, we were able to understand which roles and functions were more common in a particular region. We also discovered patterns that showed how talent was imported for certain roles and/or functions rather than sourced regionally.

Exploring Africa’s rich talent pool provided crucial insight into some of the continent’s recruiting approaches and practices. The search ultimately offered beneficial intelligence for new business initiatives in the region.
